Upon the high mountains, stones fill every direction, white and red, representing variety in creation
All inert and hard, like a charkh-bari, No affection in eyes, no inner warmth to mention
In the epochs lost in these very heights,
The heavens witnessed strange sights

A martyr of divine sight, a stone became, From many stones, gushed a fountain’s flame
I ask my nation, in you a heart throbs, As soft and delicate as silk’s tender sobs.
I ask why my millennia-old call
Did not affect it at all?
A call that could draw spring out of a stone
And make the hidden divine power known
